Rainbow cloud 🌈☁️

This effect is called cloud iridescence or irisation, terms derived from Iris the Greek personification of the rainbow. They’re caused by the presence of very tiny ice crystals or water droplets in the air, which cause light to be diffracted (spread out). The photo is unedited. What a treat to have seen this rare phenomenon. πŸ˜€

Once upon a time

Remember when we went to big arena concerts? I miss those days. I wonder when we’ll be able to do this again. This shot was from the Depeche Mode Global Spirit Tour, Oct. 8, 2017. Ironically, the song they’re performing is Enjoy The Silence. One of my all time favorite DM songs. 30 years old now.
